Contemporary Art Fair:
Season Fair,
Detroit, MI 2025
A continued series delving into feelings of nostalgia and unexplained connections we feel for certain landscapes and environments. Whether these ecologies have nurtured us in some way in this life, or maybe more importantly, cared for those that came before us a built-in yearning exists possibly as a remnant of survival.
By using the framework of biology and genetics to help us connect with lives and places we came from, we can hopefully begin to understand those feelings and the need for nurturing relationships with land.
This series was fueled by the writings of many amazing sci-fi fantasy authors as well as my own collection of images of personally magnetic places. Landscapes from Ireland, Michigan, South Korea and Poland that have elicited many of those feelings of (re)discovered connection.
